Paul Gordon

The editor of The Peorian, Paul came to AdCo this summer after a 29-year career at the Peoria Journal Star, including 18 years as business editor, and won awards for reporting and writing from the Associated Press and the Illinois Press Institute for his coverage of Caterpillar Inc. Paul has covered nearly every beat on a newspaper, giving him a well-rounded level of experience.

Kevin Kizer Kevin will be editing our literary and restaurant review sections. He has been a professional writer for 20 years, working in advertising and as a freelance journalist. He graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in journalism from Ball State University in 1992.

Dr. Peter J. Couri A Peoria dentist, Peter is one of the area’s foremost authorities on its past from being almost a lifelong student of local history. Former president of the Peoria Historical Society, Couri also is a former chairman of the Peoria Civic Center Authority and served with that group more than a dozen years.

Cathi Hawkinson Owner of Hawk Communications, one of Peoria’s oldest independent public relations consulting firms, Cathi’s past and present clients include the Peoria Area Association of Realtors, the City of Peoria, St. Jude Midwest Affiliates, U.S. Cellular and the Red Cross. She was the first coordinator of the Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights and the WEEK-TV Coats for Kids campaigns and formerly co-chaired the Peoria Art Guild’s Fine Art Fair on Peoria’s riverfront.
